Facilitating Fashionable Fun
HQ NZ are a great company, based in Queenstown who work all around the country. Already, in the last year we've worked with them a couple of times. This time it was a pleasure to work with them on our home turf at the Intercontinental and Mac's Function Centre. They have a really cool Wearable Arts Challenge that utilises teamwork and creativity to turn boxes of weird objects and craft supplies into quite amazing garments (not unlike WoW itself).
They brought us onboard to help facilitate the teambuild and MC the final runway show. Thom McGrath and I did this in the guise of a couple of flamboyant fashionistas. What struck me is how freeing it can be for events like this to have strong characters around. For some people anything creative in a group setting can be very confronting. You feel like you are under the microscope. So having someone to take the spotlight off you can be a huge relief.
The end results were fantastic, some great creations and fun had by all.
